Viva Solaris~Casino Night 2007

We just set the date for the Diabetes Center of New Jersey's Annual fundraising event, 'Viva Solaris~Casino Night.' This fabulous gala will be held on Saturday, March 24 at the Somerset Marriott in Somerset, NJ. The Center’s ongoing support of DIVABETIC has been critical to our growth over the past year. If you’re a friend or support of DIVABETIC then I’d strongly urge you to attend this wonderful event. On top of presenting programming to meet the needs of all TYPES of people living with diabetes, the Center also provides free in-school screenings for children at possible risk of TYPE 2 diabetes. This unique program, called ‘SHARK’ (Screening Helps At Risk Kids) is currently available in nine NJ middle schools.

We will be announcing the name of our special guest performer in the coming weeks who will perform a special smooth jazz tribute to Luther Vandross. There will be plenty of chances to win items in our Silent Auction at our gaming tables as well as a delicious array of food choices to choose from in one of the biggest buffets in New Jersey. Don’t miss it!

Makeover Your Diabetes Day in West Palm Beach

Support is truly a beautiful thing especially in West Palm Beach, Florida thanks to Karline and her wondeful staff at Karline’s Salon and Spa. That’s because Karline’s will be hosting a free DIVABETIC Diabetes Support meetings on a monthly basis in 2007 with the help of members from the West Palm Beach Public Health Department. How fabulous is that? Well, get ready because Karline promises to give free mini-spa diva pampering services on a regular basis to our attendees. Now, that’s what a girl wants!

A Trip to the Grocery Store" Learn what every diva needs to about food labels. What's good? What's bad?
